Company Overview
Target Projects was founded in 1997 by Terrence Smith and Graham Clarence. Since our inception we have distinguished ourselves as one of South Africa’s leading project management companies in construction, economic development, logistics, transportation and business planning, collecting several awards along the way.
Our diverse and talented team are experts in their chosen field and you can rely on their knowledge for an innovative solution to your investment. These areas of expertise include construction, financial planning, communications, architecture, civil engineering as well as environment, economic, social and sustainability.
Proudly South African and BEE accredited, Target Projects have pioneered unique project management and procurement systems to support previously disadvantaged professional service providers, contractors and suppliers.
In doing so, we have built strong, strategic links with established and emerging construction as well as consulting companies in the planning and design sector.
This has ensured that normal project management and quality objectives are not compromised, and that risks are mitigated within the confines of the client’s brief.
Some of our mega project management projects include:
- The construction of the Cape Town International Convention Centre, which is rated in the top 20 in the world, and generates substantial revenue for the Western Cape region.
- The redevelopment of the international and domestic terminals at the Cape Town International Airport.
- The fully-fledged Cape Town Film Studios, which will be the only facility of its kind and size in Africa. The first phase includes the construction of four studios and workshops.
- The design and construction of a national cultural archive in Timbuktu, Mali. This world heritage site was the first successful NEPAD cultural project.
- The redevelopment of Cape Town Station 2030 including the upgrading of Cape Town Station in preparation for the FIFA World Cup tournament in 2010.
Target Projects is also embarking on several projects in Central East Africa.
With offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, Target Projects is poised to extend its footprint widely in South Africa and selected countries on our continent.
